As a two-person team, it was explored how existing single-family homes can be converted to accommodate at least two separate households. The project focuses on typological strategies that reorganize existing living space, add additional units if necessary, and help reduce urban sprawl. A key aspect was developing scalable and transferable design solutions specifically for prefab houses.

We developed a modular system based on the sizing of a standard garage that is stackable and includes all necessary utilities. The possibilities to stack and use the system are endless and need no additional ground space as it rises horizontally.
